DiagnoVac ESR Tubes

The ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) black cap tube (4NC 0.129M) is a specialized blood collection tube designed for ESR testing.
It features a black cap that signifies it contains a buffred sodium citrate solution as an anticoagulant. The additive ratio is 1:4, meaning one part citrate solution to four parts blood.
The citrate concentration is 0.129M (3.8%), ensuring that the blood does not clot and allowing for precise measurement of the erythrocyte sedimentation rate.
This tube is used to detect and monitor conditions associated with inflammation, infection, and various autoimmune diseases by measuring how quickly
red blood cells settle at the bottom of the tube over a specified period.

Mixing recommendation:
ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) tubes should be gently inverted 180° and back 8-10 times.
